Yamaha Gladiator: The Real warrior

Yamaha Gladiator, As the name mentions it is a real warrior. Initially Yamaha launched Fazer 125 in india to compete with Pulsar and CBZ*.

Believe me, am not joking.

Fazer
when launched in India with 123.7cc and output power of 10.8bhp and with top speed of 108kmph.

At that time specs pulsar and CBZ* were very less:
  1. pulsar - 150cc, 12bhp, 112kmph.
  2. CBZ* - 156cc, 13.5bhp, 115kmph.

Later these bikes have been featured with new innovation and came up into a frustrating Super Sports bike.

Fazer which lost its market was taken out and brought in as Gladiator. The style and Graphics were more appealing and top speed was increased even though company says 108kmph i have crossed 112kmph with it.

Gladiator is the Incomparable winner in the 125 segment, even the Discover 125 changed to 135cc because of its strong competition.

Specifications:
  1. Displacement: 123.7cc
  2. Engine type: SOHC, 4 stroke
  3. Output power: 10.8bhp @7500rpm
  4. Engine Torque: 10.4nm@6500rpm
  5. Gears: 5 speed
  6. Tank Capacity: 13 Ltrs
  7. Top Speed: 108kmph (Actual >112kmph)
Pros:
  1. Decent looks
  2. Aggressive Engine
  3. Low noise
  4. SS and RS design was excellent like an 150cc bike
  5. Good mileage
Cons:
  1. Less pickup
  2. Old type Engine
  3. Stickers are easily removable
To over come all the issues in Gladiator and to have a new alternative in 125cc segment, Yamaha decided to launch its R125 into india.

Lets welcome!!! but dont forget the Warrior!!!

Cheers!!!
