New Pulsar 150 vs New CBZ Xtreme

Hi All,

They are again new now! So I should give a new review now!

Who is the best! The New Hero or the New male! :)

First reviewing the Pulsar 150 new - The Dual color of the bike makes it more attractive (even when it has not been liked by all). The output power has improved a bit and torque has been reduced but still the pickup difference was no compromising.

Coming to the CBZ Xtreme - Nothing has been changed in terms of engine. however you can find the complete change in the body styling. The Beefy CBZ-Xtreme has become more techno with the advanced digital console and even the silencer has been renovated.

So the CBZ Xtreme gives us a new face this time than the Pulsar which has not shown us a major upgrade other the color options. However the engine refinement is more required for the CBZ-Xtreme.

So this time neither the CBZ Xtreme nor the Pulsar 150 loses and they share the first position!

Cheers!!!

Top 3 Indian Diesel Hatchbacks

Well discussing about the top 3 hatchbacks in the country i included the top factors of Fuel efficiency, Power and Pricing.

The Third position goes to Tata Indica Vista.

Sedan Class is the advertising caption given for the all new Tata Indica vista. Yes! of course it is the right caption for it because of its excellent interior space which is an additional point which make the car to be in the third position a head of other competitors. The music system in the Tata Indica vista is also awesome with the 2-Din speakers gives the best in class music experience. The Engine performance and mileage need not be proved again since t
he already proved Fial 1300cc diesel engine was used also in the Tata Indica Vista. T
he Price is also leass when compared to the other company cars who fails to provide the features which Vista provides. So effortlessly Tata Indica Vista captures the third position with the only drawback of Tata's poor servicing quality.

The Second position goes to Ford Figo:

Ford Figo captures the second position not because of its power or mileage (since both disappoints slightly) when compared to most of it competitors. The Price is the main feature that attracts every one. The reason might be because of the old common rail engine, however we wont feel the old engine. One of the most decent car and the perfect choice of people who want everything from a car can go for it. The peppy colors and design adds more points to the car. Ford service quality is at the next level with excellent life time of the engine really its tough to beat the ford figo from the second position.

The First position goes to the All new Swift:

No body can disagree from the fact that swift is the no.1 hatch back car of India. with its extra ordinary mileage, power, stability at highspeeds, driving comfort, Peppy design which makes it the unbeatable leader, supported by the brand name maruti suzuki in India - what else an indian driver can think of. Believe me its really a small heaven in car. You need to feel it to understand. However one point defavors it - The price which is very high when compared to Figo which is in the second position. Also am not sure if we can get the car with in 2 months after booking. :(

Cheers!!!

Hyundai Eon - Perfect small car

Hyundai Eon is the latest arrival in the small car (A) segment of Indian Car Market. As of today (16-Dec-2011) Eon is the smallest car launched by Hyundai for the Indian Market. So I chose it to be the best car to start my review activity again!

First point - With meagre capacity greater than M800 or Alto - The car was perfectly placed with an extra ordinary power and mileage in the segment.

Well! coming to power the car churns out an amzing 55Bhp of output power @ 5500rpm, which would allow us to reach 100Kph much earlier than any of the cars in the segment. Even when the engine churns out abnormal power the engine remains conservative. With an average mileage of 19Kmpl astonishes the consumers of this segment. The runner-up model in this segment even gives out 15kmpl on an average.

The price of the model is also convincing - much equivalent to the other competitors and to be honest with the power-mileage ratio the price is very reasonable ranging from 3.5lacs to 4.5lacs,point to be noted that Alto 800cc version ranges from 2.75Lacs to 3.5

The Ergonomics of the car also ensures the stability even at higher speeds. Styling of the car is also excellent combination to its specifications.

Conclusion:
Hyundai Eon is the perfect blend of Style, Ergonomics and power assuring the best buy for the money.

Cheers!!!

Hope the Points mentioned above are clear to all. However I would like to give some clarity on some of the points mentioned above.

· Engine Capacity – Higher the engine capacity of cylinder higher the output power

· Compression ration and Power to weight ratio – more or less similar. Both specify the pulling power of the cars.

· Tyres: Nano has smaller tyres in the front which assures good turning radius and swifter driving in city traffic conditions. Also the broader the rear tyres ensure stability at high speeds. M800 has same set of tyres in front and back which would cause over steering very easily.

Conclusion: The points portrayed speak only about the points in which Nano beats M800; it doesn’t means that Nano is better than M800 in all means. In short, both are best in their own way.

Tata Nano - Not like the rest, to be honest best too...

Tata Nano - world's familiar car name for being the cheapest car in the world. The Euro ncap rating of 4 has added up overwhelming expectations too...

( it is to be noted that i10, swift also have rating of 4 and alto has just 3 in a scale of 5 for Euro ncap)

The Tata Nano carries a engine which is as small as that of a share auto in cities. it is just .2 litres smaller than Alto. so its right to compare it with the Alto.

Alto is a small car however Nano is a well built share auto says many. but its not so. Tata is very careful in building the car too but due to the cost efficiency limitation they cant build a better car rather than this.

it is also to be noted that alto has better length then nano however the width and height makes us to feel alto a cramped one.

also it is not worthy to compare alto with nano. so lets compare it with the premium commuter motorcycles say honda cbr250r, huh! that means stupid but should think of cbr250r with 5 seats and having a roof. cool hun! ( just for fun)

the real comparitive vehicle for nano is a 3 wheeler auto rickshaw which costs more than 1.5lacs same to nano. so what? nano gives you better deal for loans too!

The 35bhp and 48nm torque makes the car the best companion for beginners in indian city traffic, alto has 46bhp and 62nm torque.

My suggestion is Tata Nano is not the one which has to be neglected instead a masterpiece of technology at its best. Rather than criticising it stand in the neutral part and evaluate the car you will understand.

Hats off!!! TATA...

150cc - Handling - Comfort Comparison

Handling refers to the fact how easy the bike is to ride in traffic, cormering or to do twists on the roads.

Comfort is determined by the riding position comfort which doesnot pain you even after a long ride.

Apache and pulsar are the most vibrating and hence they are not surely comfortful, but they both make the best in handling, particularly pulsar gives you extremely good handling even at excellent speeds.

The true comfort is best in GS150R where you'll even doubt whether the engine is running or not. the broad handle gives you irritation as far as handling is considered.

Honestly speaking Dazzler comes as Jack of all trades but winner of none, usually we refer pulsar like this, blend of handling and comfort comes together in Dazzler and Hunk.

So Dazzler and Hunk holds good for comfort and Pulsar and Apache for handling.

Cheers!!!

150cc - Mileage - Pickup comparison

Pickup can be measured by the time taken by the bike to reach the average speed(of indian bikes) which is 60kmph.

Mileage can be determined by the torque of the engine, as early the maximum torque is achieved mileage will be better. Here early refers to the rpm of the bike engine rotor.

The leader in the torque will be FZ series but am sorry the broader tyres flops the pickup of the bike which again degrades the mileage as well. Mileage was recorded at 42kmpl as the best.

So the follower GS150R Leads it with excellent combination of torque, mileage and pickup.

The best pickup provided by Apache RTR160 which reaches 60kmph in just 5secs, followed by Pulsar and Hunk. Then GS150R, Dazzler and finally FZ series enters.

Am again wondering the FZ series which has best torque and optimum output power compared to rivalries has lost the game in speed and pickup too.

Its sure that SZ-X has taken all the goodies which we expect from FZ on the mileage side and R15 on performance side. However they both dont belong to the segment which is not covered by us in this post.

Following GS150R, PULSAR gains the advantage of mileage even when the torque is lesser compared to other competitors followed by Dazzler and Hunk.

CHEERS!!!

150cc - POWER & WEIGHT Comparison

Considering power and weight together is for the reason determining the pulling power of the bike. (note: this is not exactly about power-weight ratio)

The leader for this comparison was apache with output power of 15.4bhp @ 8500rpm and weight of 136kgs. The least weighed and most powerful engine makes it the leader. Closely followed by pulsar150 (2010) with 15.06bhp @ 9000rpm and weighing just 137kgs.

The third position for CB Dazzler, followed by HH Hunk, Fazer and GS150R.

GS150R is the least powered bike and hence comes the last not only engine power but also the weight of the bike which makes is far behind its predecessor FZ-Series.

It is to be noted that as the output power increases, the mileage will be decreased as they are inversely proportional.

BUT AM WONDERING WHY FZ SERIES GIVES POOR MILEAGE?

Cheers!!!

Fazer or FZ - which is better?

Fazer and FZ both are yamaha products which is exact copy with the same chassis, engine with exact speicifcations, however FZ is a naked bike hence doesnot carry fairing.

we have already discussed that FZ is not an economy bike and we cannot say that built quality is poor. the mileage of the bike is very poor and hence economical name erodes. the bike is good in performance and styling.

Now to discuss about Fazer, the bike has all the goodness of FZ except the performance degradation (slightly) due to thethe heavier front fairing which provides 5kgs more to the bike. however the styling factors gets the bike to the next level.

well considering the price FZ16 comes with price tag of around 73k and FZ-S with price tag of around 75K and Fazer reaches 79k.

My better suggestion would be the FZ-S which would satisfy your needs when it comes to FZ family.

It also depends on individual likes and i dont depreciate if you go for Fazer coz of its excellent fairing that gives you the joy of riding a bigger international bike

Cheers!!!!

MAHINDRA RODEO SYM - A Male scooter

Mahindra Rodeo is the all new scooter targeting youth especially boys.

The name of the bike remembers me 5, 6, 7, 8 song...

"MY RODEO ROMEO COWBOY GOD FROM HEAD TO TOE
WANNA MAKE U MINE BETTER GET IN LINE"

enough lets speak about the bike now, the bike houses an excellent 125cc auto-gear engine that ensures an excellent throttling experience with a push. whoooooffff.....!!!

you cant imagine such a pickup from the small sized scooter, but you'll really enjoy it with good wheel base which makes you stable.

The torque of the bike being the best of its class 9nm@5500rpm along with the maximum output power of 8.11bhp@7000rpm and the good news is that all these comes at the price of less than 48k.

well! we can get the perfect and better competitor Honda Activa at the same price, however the charger and full digital display provides value-add much for the bike.

Also the stability is better when compared to Activa.

the cons are rodeo has poor mileage, lesser top end torque.

However we suggest this scooter for the action lovers and you can really rock with bikes and more possibly better than bikes.

Cheers!!!
